Good Morning, everyone.
This is an exciting day for the DT Krewes from Parade your Crafts Blog.
Today is our first Challenge.
The theme is Down By the Sea.
There are some great prized up for grabs for those who participate. And don't wait around, because there are going to be prized for entries #1, #5, #15 and #20.
My project is a layout. I have not done a layout in some time and I have thousands of photos.
This is my Son having his first Oyster Shooter on our summer trip to Newport Oregon last year. I don't know where he got his love for oysters but he just can't wait to have them. I was not sure how he was going to react to the shooter so I took lots of photos of the whole event. His only reaction was at the end, when he really tasted the cocktail sauce. At the time I didn't know how hot it really was. But,he said he would do it again and liked everything about the taste.
My background papers are from the Fresh collection from Authentique. I used the Crisp and Light sheets. The journaling card was made from the back side of the Light sheet.
I made the photo frames using my Polaroid Die from the Greeting farm
and the paper Farm House Paper - Sugar Hill.
I also used the Element and Detail stickers from the Fresh set for the title. I loved that the sticker sheets came with different letter styles. The photo's are framed using white card stock and Ranger Distress Ink - Weathered wood. I used some Kraft card stock to frame the journal card and distressed it with Ranger Distress Inks - Barn Door. I added the twine to give the layout some dimension.
Now take a couple of minutes to check out the other fabulous projects from the rest of the DT Krewe.
I hope you can find some time to play with us this week. I can't wait to see what you create. And don't forget to stop in at The Paper Parade for all of your supplies. New products being added all the time.
