Use What You Have

Hello there!!!  Today I want to post a card I made for the Sweet Stamp shop Use What you have Challenge.  I am really enjoying this challenge because it is giving me a new look at some of my old stuff.

This weeks challenge is ribbon and punches.  Since I am an active Fiskateer I have quite the collection of Fiskars punches.  So I choose to open a storage box I have not looked at in a while.

And then there is my drawer full of ribbon.

And here is the card I made with the doily punch.  I lined the back with some orange paper and added some pearls to the center of the doily.  The stamp is from Market street stamps.    Since I have been struggling with some creative ideas the card came out  pretty simple.  maybe my mojo is returning because as I look at the photo I see I could have added some braids to the end of the ribbon to give it some more layers.

There is still one day left to enter into this challenge.  Why don't you join us.

A bit of summer

Happy Sunday everyone!

I am just stopping in with  a quick little card I made using some of the new stamps
I have purchased in the last few weeks.

This set is from Lawn Fawn.  I popped the lemons up form the card to add some dimension.
I colored the images using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

I feel blessed that I made a couple of cards this weekend because my mojo is still missing.
Why does it always leave when I have projects to complete...LOL .
So I will keep pushing forward.... maybe it will return.

Scraps!

What do you do with scraps?  I confess, I am a scrap hoarder.  I don't want to throw them out because I might need them for some small die cut or other project.  Sometimes I think they are taking over.  About a year ago I received a package from a fellow crafter.  She gives away some of the items she had not used in a while.  I receive a large package with lot of goodies.  Over the months I have used many of the items received but I have this bag of scraps that has been hanging around.  Lots of paper and some small embellishments.

I used two different patterned papers from the bag.  One of which was double sided.

What did I come up with?  This crazy patterned card.  I mad the flower/rosette with the same papers cut out of circles and added a little distress ink.
The image is one of my left over Riley's that I colored for last weeks challenge.

Thanks for stopping in.....

All pink

Happy Monday!!!

I hope you had a nice weekend.  The weather was strange in my neck of the woods.  Saturday it was 108 degrees and Sunday we topped out around 88 degrees.  We might even get some rain today.  Very crazy weather.

Today I give you this bright pink card.
I used my distress ink pad to make the blue streak and then I cut out CC Riley from The Greeting farm.  Sim
I think I'll be sending this card off to my Niece who turns 21 this week.

I took some inspiration from this TSG211 challenge photo

Thanks for stopping in

Using my stash

This weekend I decided to take the Use what you have challenge #4 at the Sweet Stamp shop blog.

So I pulled out this giant box of stickers that I have stashed under the table.  This are stickers that have come in packages from others, swaps and some purchases.  I do dip into the box occasionally.

I dumped them out on a chair and of course many fell onto the floor.  As I went through the many layers I found these cute little ladybugs.  I did also pick out the circles with the flowers at the top of the pile and as I was cleaning up the mess, I found some sweet little red hearts.

Part of the challenge is to combine challenges.  There is a challenge on the Create blog for June and it is a sketch challenge so I thought maybe I could combine the two.

here is the sketch

And here is my card.

As you can see.... I did not use the circle.  They just did not work.  I was really struggling with crafting block but I made through this one.  I think this is a card my niece would love.

FFF - Oh Boy

Happy Thursday everyone.  I can't believe that this week is flying by.  For me my Son just finished 7th grade.  He is growing up so fast.

I almost forgot to post my latest card.  I had some of this crazy paper.  I am not sure where I got it but the border says Rusty Pickle.   On one side there is the stars and the other was lined with the Jagged edge.  Looks like someone scribbled on it.  So I combined both sides for this card.  The base layer is the lined side. I cut a small  of piece of the star side for Logan to sit on and.  Logan is from the Greeting Farm.   He is my favorite because my son lives in his hoodie.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges.
