Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 203

It is that time this week for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.

Here is the challenge photo.

I was inspired by the flowers and their colors.  I also of course added some Easter eggs for the Easter theme.

I don't know if this will be my last post this week so I want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday weekend.

Easel Card

Hello Friends.  Today I am going to share with you the second easel card I have ever made.
I love the end result but they do take a little planning.

I made this card for two challenges.   One is the Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm for Farm Fresh Friday. Where the challenge is to make an Easel card.

The second Challenge is for the Cards Blog Challenge on the Northridge Publishing Creat Blog.
This is a color theme challenge.  Very Spring/Easter like color.

March Blog Challenge Colors

I used the precious CC Thursday Stamp from the Greeting Farm.
The Sentiment is from Hero Arts.

If you have not made and Easel card before here is an illustration on how the parts got together.
 I made mine 5x5.

Thanks to Nitash at Docerela Creations I am now adding this card to the pastel challenge.

Cupcake challenge 202

Happy Friday!  Boy it was a long week for me.  Nothing seemed to go right at work this week.  I put in some long hours and  my evening crafting time has been minimal.  So to celebrate Friday I stopped at my local Joann's and picked up a few cool items and came home to craft.

I've been thinking about this challenge and have been stumped by the colors.  I love green but not a big fan of the yellow.  Since St. Patty's day passed I was not in the mind set to make a lucky card.

Here is the cupcake inspiration

here is my cool frog.

He sort of makes me want Summer to be here.

Have a great weekend.

Farm Fresh Friday

Today I am posting my project for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge on the Splendid Stamping with the Greeting farm blog.

The challenge is Sparkle

I choose my Ebony stamp because I think the little skull looks great with glitter.  I also added glitter to her head band.this makes her a little cutie.

The flowers are sparkle stickers and I added some more glitter to the little butterfly wings.

I left off the sentiment because I was not sure what I wanted  it to say yet.  Sometimes I do that and then add the sentiment right before I send out the card or use it on a package.  That way I know who the card is going to and have the sentiment match that occasion.

thanks for stopping by.

March Great Impressions & Spectrum Noir Challneges

I think this is going to be a record month for me completing challenges.  I just love participating in different challenges to help me grow as a card maker.  I have learned from each challenge.  Some of my projects turn out as planned and others just turn out ok.

This card I made for the Great Impressions March challenge.  The challenge is "Green" .  I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I am rather please with the results.

I am also going to enter this card in the Spectrum Noir challenge   The challenge there is "Spring"

There is still  time to participate in both challenges.  I have made sure that there is a link to both challenge blogs.

Happy Crafting

Tattered Floral Challenge

Wow!!!  Two post in one day.  Can you believe it.... I can't.  I have been under the weather and had not found time to post my project for the Tattered Floral Challenge over at the Tim Holts Blog.

I made the flower a few weeks ago and was not sure how I wanted to use in.  Just before I was visited my Mr. Cold, I decided that the flower would make a great Mother's Day card.

For the flower I try to use some of Tim's Techniques using paints on my paper..... Though I don't have any distress paints.  I used some of my other craft paints and watered them down a little.   It was fun.

I added some glitter to the edges to gift the flower some sparkle.   I love the results.

I sure will be making more flower and trying to incorporate some cloth/fabric in the future.

201 Cupcake challenge

A few weeks ago I participated in the Cupcake Inspiration challenge. Let me say I may be addicted.  I have been think about this challenge all week.

Here is the cupcake I was inspired by.

and here is my card.  The flowers and snail images came from 2 different Recollections collection from Michaels.  The sentiment is Hero Arts.

I decided to make my snail lift off the card so I made two images and used pop dots to separate them.
