It has been a busy crafting weekend for me.  I had lots of projects started and I was able to complete them. Here is the last card for the weekend.  It is an any occasion card.  My inspiration came from the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.

Here is the photo.

Unity - be inspired challenge

This posting is for the Unity Stamp Company Be Inspired challenge.  This challenge is a sketch or color challenge.

I actually started my card out as the color challenge..... by the time I was done it became the sketch part of the challenge.  Have you ever had that happen to you?  I be you have.

I will also be entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog.  Check them out!

A birthday card for a birthday challenge.

The Simon Says blog is celebrating their 4th birthday this week.  The challenge... Birthday card......
I made this card using some dark blue card stock.  I punched  the pink stripped paper with one of my border punches and the ties the tulle around the card and make a bow then addend the tag. Very easy  and quick.

Thanks for stopping by.

RCC80 - Showers and Flowers.

I am a proud member of the Fiskateer community.  Some of us have committed to a group that does card lifting.  Our leader Groovy Deb picks and inspiring card and we lift something from it.  This week we had a card from Angela 3100 that when you open it stars fall out.  I really like that idea.  I used to love to put confetti inside cards and when someone opened it the confetti fell out and of course made a mess.  Due to the mess issue I stopped doing this but Angela's idea of sewing the stars together and making a string of them   is a fabulous idea.  confetti that does not make a mess.

I used this same idea but with flowers.    I glued the string in between two flowers making a sandwich.

I will be entering this card into the Ribbon Carousel April Challenge.

Farm Fresh Friday - Bling It

This weeks challenge on the Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm it Bling it.    I really challenged myself making this stepped card..  I think it took me a couple of hours to complete.  The grass is what challenged me the most.  I used one of the old Sizzix die.  The die was not long enough to make it across the card, so I had to piece the grass together.  I started adding layers to over the seams.  In my opinion the end result was fantastic.

I will also be entering my fun card in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog.

To make a stepped card you have to start with a 12 x 5-1/2" strip of paper.  Score it at 3", 6", 8", 10" and 11".  This will create a 1" step and 2" and a 3" step.

I overlapped the paper on each step so that it was higher then the step.  I made sure that the paper covering the 3" step measure 4-1/4, for a standard envelope.

New blog followers

In the last couple of weeks there have been some new followers to my blog.

I wanted to take a minute out of my day to say THANK YOU!! to those who are following me.

I know I am not a wordy person on my blog.
Sometimes I think it is because by the end of the work day I have just ran out of things to say.

I love to enter challenges.  They give me the chance to try something new.  Otherwise I might be making the same layout cards over and over again....
and wondering how to use that new toy that caught my eye at the craft store that I just had to buy.

I hope you are enjoying my project and maybe can inspires someone to give a new technique a try.... even if it does not turn out how you envisioned.

That is it for me right now....
I have some new project in the works that I hope to be sharing by the end of the weekend.

FFF at the Greeting Farm

Another week brings another challenge at The Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm.  This weeks challenge is Embossing.

I used my new Tim Holtz embossing folder to make the background for this card.  I roughed up the edges to give it that distressed/worn look.

The image is CC Saturday.  This is the same image I used for the the monthly challenge.  Many times I stamp multiple images when I have a stamp out.  That way when I have free time I can just color the images and have them ready for the next card.  That is why I have used CC Saturday again.  I do think he is adorable.... especially now that I have a preteen son.  It is a great image for cards for his friends.
