Good Morning!!

Happy Sunday.  I hope you are enjoying your weekend

Today I'm part of the Growing In Unity Blog Hop.

For my project I chose to use my brand new kit

  Gather Love.

I picked this kit because I just love that rabbit.  It is super cute.

I've been playing with image and my distress oxides all week.

For this card I created the background using my distress oxides.

I chose a stencil to add some interest to the background

Stamped and embossed the image and sentiment.

Rounded the edges with corner punches.

I could not find a perfect paper to frame the image so I used some
gold embossing powder to create the gold frame.

Some of the other projects I've been working
on using this rabbit image

Here is the line up for today's hop

Growing in Unity - Day 5

Happy Friday!!!

The weekend is upon us and I hope you have some fun plans.

Today is my final day with the Unity Stamp Company.

I hope you have enjoyed all of the my projects this week.

For my final project I used images from the Handmade Valentines set.

This is been my most used stamp set from Unity.

For this card I stamped and embossed the background in gold.  Using blending brushes I blended distress inks to create the background color I was looking for.

I then stamped the heart and embossed it with aged gold embossing enamel. The enamel embossing gives the wax stamp effect.

I filled in the negative area of the heart with red glitter.

The white background paper is an embossed textured textile paper.

I love the old world feel that all of the combined elements.

By not adding a sentiment I can use this as a  Valentines day or a wedding card.

I want to send a big thank you to all of you who have left sweet and inspiring comments on my blog.

Growing in Unity - Day 4

Good morning everyone.

This week is flying by.  I can't believe it is Thursday already.

Only a couple more post left for my week with Unity.

Today I am going to continue with the Valentine theme.

I chose this fun stamp from the set

  A Summer Story

For this card I decided to layer the cute little cup so that the image pops off the card and gives a lot of dimension.

I stamped 4 images.  One on the card, two for the cup and one for the lid.

I colored using each layer just so that if any layer was exposed you it would see color.

I then fussy cut the cup out on two of the images and fussy cut the lid out of one of the images.  I did cut the straw off the lid so that it would appear to be behind the lid.

Then I glued all of the layers together.

I then added a little glitter to the whipped cream,

The "Be my Valentine" sentiment is from the Unity set  Handmade Valentines.

If you missed any of the previous day projects I posted links below.

Growing in Unity - Day 3

Happy Wednesday!

It is day 3 of my week with Unity Stamp Company

For my project today I used images from the

  Delightfully Dainty stamp set

This is a charming little set

The businesses in our community are collecting Valentine's Day cards for the local Senior centers.

This card and many others will be making it into the collection.

Valentine cards are one of my favorite cards to make.

I used to make many for a children's hospital card drive.  But the wonderful lady running that drive has has some life challenges and has not been able to sponsor the drive the last few years.

I've been playing with some of the new ink blending brushes and blended a little bit of the blue sky behind bicycle.

I then colored in the sun and added a layer of glitter to the clouds to give it a little sparkle

The "Be Mine" sentiment is from the Unity set  Handmade Valentines.

I hope you are finding time to make some Valentines Day Cards of your very own.

That is all for me today.

If you missed any of the previous day projects I posted links below.

Growing in Unity - Day 2

Good Morning

I'm here for day 2 of my week with the Unity Stamp Compan

For Today's project I mad a card using
an image from the She Found Joy kit

Anyone that knows me can say I am obsessed with flowers.
This kit was a must have,

I first stamped and embossed the image using copper embossing powder.
I then colored in the flowers with water color pins then used a little water to
blend the bottom of the flower.

I chose to layer the sentiment die cut multiple times to add more dimension to the card.
Then framed the image with copper paper.

I just love the color of this woodgrain background.  I thought it was perfect accent for the copper color

Remember.......
At the end of the week I will pull 2 lucky names to win a $20 credit to the Unity website.

Please be sure to comment every day.

If you missed my Day 1 post you still have time to comment

Growing in Unity - Day 1

Good morning!

I am super excited to be this weeks GIU Gal.

It has been a while since I have blogged.

Just as I finished taking care of  my Dad's estate we went into lockdown for Covid.

I have been doing some art journaling to help reduce the stress of the world
but the card making stuff has been collecting some dust.

It was nice to start breaking everything out and making some cards again.

Today I made this Tall mermaid card using Unity Stamp Set
Open Sky, Deep Ocean

This is such a fun set.  Love the sea them and all those great sentiments.

The mermaid is such a beautify image

I colored the image using water color markers.

Added some dimension using some Nuvo drops for the bubbles.

I actually messed up one of the jellyfish.
What do they say?.... Mistakes are opportunities to embellish.
So... Glitter was added to all of the jellyfish to give them a little sparkle.

I found this background paper at Hobby Lobby.  It is a perfect match for my colors and theme.

I did not add a sentiment because I'm not sure how I will use this card.
It is nice to have a few totally blank cards for unexpected notes.

If you need some dimensions of a tall card.
I found that you can purchase envelopes that are 8.875" x 3.875"
I cut 1/4" off the dimensions for the card size and it fits perfectly.

Now that you made it this far it is time to find out how to win some Unity Stamps of your very own.

I will be featuring projects all week.
At the end of the week I will pull 2 lucky names to win a $20 credit to the Unity website.

Please be sure to comment every day.

Thank you for stopping by.
